We need volunteers to serve as neighborhood and block captains. If you are interested, please join us at our next meeting and let us know, or email contact@wfwatch.com.
Neighborhood Captains – we need a few dedicated individuals in each neighborhood (i.e., Amber Fields, Honeysuckle Meadows, Windmill Ridge/Phase 1 and Heather Hollow) to serve as neighborhood captains. These individuals will help recruit and organize block captains in their specific neighborhood and work with the community watch captains to organize the monthly community watch meetings. Neighborhood captains will receive reports on crime stats and ongoing incidents in their neighborhood so they can relay this information to the relevant block captains, and are asked to pass information they receive from their block captains back to the community watch captains to share with the Sheriff’s Office.
Block Captains – we need a few dedicated individuals on each block to serve as block captains. These individuals will help recruit community watch members on their block and encourage awareness of the watch program to everyone on their block. They will keep in contact with the members on their block and collect reports of suspicious activity or persons, etc. from their block watchers and report it back to their neighborhood captain.
Block Watchers – you are the eyes and ears of the watch. Ideally, these individuals will be at home during the day, or out in the neighborhood or on their block frequently. You will help watch for out-of-place vehicles, suspicious persons, etc. and report what you see to your block captains.
Members – everyone else – if you don’t have the time to serve as a captain or a block watcher, by joining the watch as a member, you will receive email updates about upcoming meetings and events as well as information about crime that may be occurring near your area.
